My dog, cocker spaniel, 8 years recently had a mastectomy and spay at the same time with the result being successful. After approximately 3 weeks of recovery, I thought she was fine to be active and I feel terrible because she will need to do abdominal hernia surgery today. I'm really worried because even though the vets that are operating are extremely professional, there is a language barrier and it's been hard to communicate back and forth... Hence why I thought after 3 weeks she was fine to play and be active... She also seemed fine and ready to play cause she's also a very active and hyper dog.

To be frank, before any activity at all, the bump did exist right after the surgery but it was very small. I took her in after about 2 weeks to remove the stitches and they tried to aspirate the bump but nothing came out... So they said it should go away on its own in about 3 weeks (again the language barrier wasn't helpful since I am in a foreign country and they did not communicate to keep the activity reduced). Now we're here, and I'm really nervous about her going into surgery again after just 3 weeks since her last surgery. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it a complex surgery? Will she be okay? The doctor said it would take around 20-30 minutes... Her bump isn't huge comparing to photos I saw on the internet but it's been a rollercoaster of emotions. She's also still very active (even though I'm limiting her activity to just walking now) and has a good apatite and bowl movement... I've been trying my best but it's really difficult.
