Went into a store on Tuesday and was informed my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9 ) and the other two lines on the account were all available for the $800 credit towards an upgrade.
Today bought an S22 , put $200 and remaining balance online says $800 remaining and shows financing payments on the next bill. I'm correct in understanding that I need to wait 1-3 billing cycles and will then be credited with the $800 promotional credit. Thus, paying off whatever balance remains and essentially "refunding" the handful of payments I do end up making by having the overall bill be lower when the credit does hit.
If this is true is there anywhere I can get solidified information on my agreement. I see on my account under the line that was upgraded an 'Agreement Policy' number and a corresponding PDF. Is there somewhere I can view the status on my trade in being received and the credit being processed?
The rep that helped me in store claimed the 1-3 cycle delay is because he has to "file some paperwork". We already have an unlimited data plan so there was no need for our plan to change.
Just wanting to triple check and ensure I didn't get finessed into paying for the entirety of the phone.
