Will the end of 3g services enable us to BYOD any VoLTE capable phone?

Essentially will we just be able to buy any unlocked phone that supports bands 2/4/5/13/46/48/66 and use it on the network once it goes LTE only?

Like I have the OnePlus 7 pro on VZW as LTE only right now. Will the end of CDMA mean I can bring any phone to the network provided it supports the right LTE bands?

For example like we've had the ROG phone and Razer Phone available but would we be able to use devices? Like maybe the mid-range Galaxy A line? Or maybe a another Chinese branded phone provided it supports the bands?

Or are there special considerations that I forgot?
