I’m considering switching to Verizon home internet but have questions.
I currently have ATT home internet air Fi Hub. The issue I’m having is that the internet is good wireless but they have the Ethernet output signals restricted so I get extremely slow speeds through my eero and Ethernet connected devices and I can’t be all wireless cause of my detached garage. It’s fed via Ethernet cable.
The current options are to set the router to pass through but they’re saying I’ll lose my security for my home internet or I get the ATT booster to add to my air fi hub at an additional cost of course but this is take the place of my eero.
So, what I’d like to know is does anyone hardwire an eero system or any additional routers into their Verizon home cube? If so, are the speeds through Ethernet similar to what the cube is producing wirelessly?
My ATT router is producing 200/40 mbps wirelessly, my Ethernet connected devices are producing 15/1 mbps, that’s how much it’s restricted. They’re saying that it’s always been that way but I disagree, this just started in the last few months for us.
