Question about verification

I've taken the pictures for the different sub reddits on a crinkled up paper with the date my user name and the sub reddit name too then load them in the Redgifs website and send the link to the sub reddit moderator but never hear anything back...I'm I doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciate
