Fund placement agencies, to use them or not?
Post Body

Hey 👋🏻 I might be popping up too often in your feed but I’m wondering if I should reach out to fund placement agencies and ask them if they could help me raise the capital since general soliciting is illegal and no family offices looks at cold outreach attempts.

Those who’ve used fund placement agencies, what are some red flags to look out for? I did a quick google search and found a couple of big banks do it and some smaller independent boutiques firms.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Andrew! I’ll look into lead generation companies :)

The objective of using the fund placement agents would be to raise €10M and of the fund to invest in startups in an underserved region

Thanks for the comment! I know it’s a terrible time to raise a fund right now especially as a first time fund manager but I’ll give it my best! Even if it takes me 3-5 years to raise the fund I’ll still give it a try :)
