So I only started using Reddit a couple years ago, and interacting with a lot of my favorite show's/comic's/etc. fanbases usually happened on places like Tumblr or Twitter. Now, I don't let other fans dictate how I enjoy media. I adore Steven Universe, but it's absolutely got one of the worst fandoms (when talking about the greater whole) I'll ever interact with. RWBY, Red vs Blue, awesome shows, awful fanbases.
But, finding this Subreddit a couple years ago, I genuinely braced myself for the worst, but this has got to be one of the most humble, chill, and coolest fanbases I've ever interacted with. A disagreement about how one person percieved a scene to another doesn't turn into a 2 hour flame war over who fucked whose mom in the ass first. (Mostly, lol.) I more often than not see "Oh! I never thought about that scene like that." Or something very similar.
Like, I feel like Venture Bros fans just love the show for what it is. There's not this huge message the creators are trying to (for lack of a better term) push onto people, it's just this goofy little show that could. So I legitimately want to thank this subreddit for being such a kind and inviting place, it's been such an awesome experience finding other like minded people that want to discuss the show, and enjoy it, endlessly.
See y'all back here when the movie drops, Go! Team Venture! ✌
