Tell me why the DON at my now PRN job made a nurse that worked for us since 2013 either do a rotating schedule that required every other weekend or lose her hours which caused her to find another job but then hires a new nurse that doesn’t work any weekends at all?!
He is the reason I stepped down from full time working 50 hrs a week at least to as needed and found a new full time job. He does not take anything his staff say into consideration. He hired two new nurses one of which will not work a single weekend and the other one cannot seem to grasp her job duties and I honestly don’t understand how she even has a nursing license. She administered a controlled medication to our Pt that he did not need. Then her and the Nursing Scheduler tried to cover it up and said it wouldn’t matter they could falsify documentation to justify giving him the medication but I told them no they couldn’t because that is highly illegal and dangerous and she didn’t even administer the correct dosage for what the medication is prescribed for.
I worry so much about my Pt that I worked with since 2014 he’s like family and if those are the type of nurses the DON is keeping in his home then I worry the Pt will end up in the hospital or worse.
