So I went to the dentist back in 2022 and have periodontitis stage 1 due to my mental health in the past and the last time I went to the dentist I was married to someone who put me on their health insurance. I now have a cracked tooth and anytime liquids go through my teeth I'm in pain.
I have disabilities and no job is able to accommodate me and I have no dental insurance to even get seen about this issue. I KNOW it is one of the issues with my eating disorder(ARFID- fear of choking and vomiting due to S/A and have GERD/Gastritis) as all of the acid reflux messed up my esophageal lining. I have lived off of liquids for 3 years as of 2025. This is a living fucking nightmare. I had an EGD 2x and was only able to eat solid foods 1 month each time, then back to liquids only.
I have tried every dental community from 211 and other resources and I'm so sick of the same bs sayings: "good luck," or "sorry." Before you go and say go to the ER, they won't do anything about it until I'm practically septic as it is called an EMERGENCY room for a reason and my health insurance that I have is from the state and ONLY covers OBGYN and mental health services(THIS WILL NOT COVER MY MEDS).
I am sick of the way people that have no jobs and disabilities are treated. Also before you say "pEoPlE dOn'T wAnT tO wOrK." I actually do want to work, but with the medical notes I have for my disabilities, I prefer not wanting to die at my place of work from overexerting myself as I don't get enough caloric intake as well as other factors.
America fucking sucks for the poor and pretty much people struggling in general. 💔
