I've fought for about a week to transfer funds from Venmo easily and finally found an easy way. I don't like using my primary bank account for these types of transactions so I wanted to find another way without much risk. It only took about 36 hours all said and done. Venmo is a kind of shitty platform for this purpose, but it is easy with a work around.

I don't know if I can post here or not because of the rules and I don't have much Karma for other boards, but I want to share my experience with others because it was very frustrating. So I had applied for the Venmo Debit/Cash card. After the run around and waiting for 2 weeks, they still could not see it processed in there system. I have a Paypal cashcard, and everyone says that you cannot transfer from Venmo to Paypal even though its the same company... True. But I ended up signing up with Capital One (Took 15 minutes online) for a digital checking account for zero balance, and zero charges, didn't cost anything what so ever... I used their Zelle app and transferred my Venmo to CapOne, and 36 hours later it cleared, and then used another Zelle app to move it to my Paypal card. A half hour later it was there with noproblems and that was it. Tested it out twice with transfers and it worked great. Venmo works great, but they are gonna keep your money if they can IMO... I still have not got my Venmo card, and am waiting for the CapOne card to arrive, which has only been in process for 4 business days (I think), I'll update when I get that...
