I’ll just summarize this. Thought I befriend a person through Facebook over a common love of Camaros. He offers to me an upgrade intake for my car at a reasonable price. He is selling off parts and stuff due to medical issues, he is battling cancer. He goes in and out of hospital the beginning of our chats. At one point his brother reached out, as they didn’t know if he was going to live through the weekend or not. I did a deep dive and he has Facebook history, and I even found him on the web and linked in.

I paid this guy $325 and used the friends option 12/30 and he’s been a ghost ever since. Calls go right to voice mail, and texts go unanswered. Same for his brother.

Trying to be patient due to his cancer fight, but I’m loosing my patience.🤬 But then this all could have been an elaborate scam!

What are the chances of getting Venmo to return my money? I ALMOST used the goods and services option, and now I wish I had. Open to all feedback- can call me an idiot too for not using the goods & services option. 🥴😵

Oh and I have all text messages saved.

*UPDATE* Through a bit of sleuthing, I found his step father. We had a nice chat about him. With in a few hours guess who reached out to me and was very apologetic. He told me he’s still having health issue and was sorry for not replying to me. He said he would get it out to me by the 28th.

My message today to him—>

Codey- I want you to make an effort and send me pics of the intake getting boxed up and get it to UPS Show me your integrity here. Yes I’m holding you accountable, and I understand you have health issues. But we made a deal. Yes I’m upset, but I’m offering you to step up, be a honorable gentleman and make it right.
