I have been using the Venmo debit card for my discretionary day to day spending. I currently have over $1500 in my Venmo balance and went to make a $50 purchase with the Venmo card online today which was declined.
When I asked Venmo customer support for an explanation they said they didn't have one and recommended I use another payment method.
To be clear this is not their credit card.....this is my money that I loaded into Venmo to access when needed. I will be draining this account and never reloading any cash in my Venmo account.
