I am a visitor and bring my Mighty vape for flower and I usually buy infused pre-rolls and break them down, should I be bringing a grinder and buying fresh herb instead?

To start, I am not interested in burning weed so any suggestions like that, save your time.
At home I grind buds and use the Mighty to vape but in Vegas, I've been buying the infused pre-rolls and breaking them down to use in the Mighty, just as I would if I had ground it myself.
My question is should I actually be buying and grinding fresh buds rather than breaking down the pre-rolls? Is the quality/high difference worth the somewhat minimal effort it would take to pack a grinder?
