I'm not well versed on who is running, I'm not a parent so I don't really keep up. But I was sitting in traffic a while back and I saw one of those political signs with a woman's face on it. I forgot her name, but was curious and googled her and saw she was one of those crazy "moms for liberty" or whatever that wants to ban books and make life hell for kids that are LGBTQ. I would like to know who these people are so I can vote against them, otherwise I don't recognize the names on those sections of the ballot and usually just leave it blank because I have no clue.

Here’s some info:

District E—Kamilah Bywaters and Lorena Biasotti. Bywaters is an experienced educator and community advocate. Biasotti is a Mom’s for Liberty Candidate who wants to ban books and pro-lgbtq policies.

District C—Tameka Henry and Evelyn Garcia Morales. Henry is a community advocate while Morales is the current incumbent who presided over the current mess CCSD is in.

District B—Eileen Eady and Lydia Dominguez. Eady is an Emerge candidate and progressive while Dominguez is closely tied to Mom’s for Liberty. She also advocates against lgbtq policies.

District A—Karl Cataratta and Emily Stevens. Cataratta is a Gen Z LGBTQ candidate who is the executive director of the Human Rights Campaign. Emily Stevens has never voted in her life and is endorsed by the chamber of commerce. I don’t know why someone who admits to never voting before expects people to vote for her. Her supporters online are extremely toxic so watch out. She has also come out in favor of vouchers at a chamber of commerce event. She’s supported by Mom’s for Liberty, but she’s not part of that group. Important to make that distinction. Even though she isn’t apart of them, she won’t disavow their support.
