Area 15 Techno events

Hi, new to the area and I was looking into techno events to go to. I saw that area15 has a couple weekend sets, are they worth going to? (I am 20) A friend I have that has lived here has said its not really social and its a lot of grown ppl. I want to make friends, and I also love raves/techno events so this seemed cool… Anyone has any suggestions/advice?
