Edit: I do not own my home. (I guess I should add that.)
Hey neighbors, I’m setting up a play room in the garage for my son. It’s already insulated and drywalled. Door is insulated. I thought I could get away with using an evaporative cooler. Tried two different models. Indoor and outdoor. They claimed to cover 100 more square feet than my garage.
I made sure there was water in the tank. Made sure the pump was on. Placed in front of open window, or cracked garage door. Placed in front of door to house.
They simply function as overpriced fans. (And not even good at that.)
I’m getting mixed answers from my online research about their effectiveness over 95 degrees.
How do you guys keep your garages cool in the summer? Thanks for any and all advice.
