Official first day of summer, stay hydrated, please don’t walk dogs in the middle of the day
Post Body

June 21st marks the first day of summer which means temperatures will only continue to rise for the next few weeks.

Pavement temperatures can reach over 140 degrees Fahrenheit which can singe dog’s paws. I’ve seen it happen, and my dog doesn’t like to wear those boots. Make sure you 🫵 and your furry friends stay hydrated. Throw a few pinches of salt in your drinking water so you can retain the moisture.

Drink some electrolytes, the heat is no joke. Wear sunglasses, hats and sunscreen. Light colored long sleeve shirts/pants actually help keep your body temperature low. Dark clothing absorbs the sun rays, increasing body temperature.

Stay safe, this is temporary, we will survive another year
