Between IT gigs - where to find temporary work
Post Body

I am an IT worker in a specialized field. There are no opportunities to use my skill set locally here in Las Vegas; my work has been for clients around the country. I used to travel to them pre-Covid and now I mostly work from home. I do contract work for projects and my current engagement is over today.

I am actively looking for work in my specialty. I'll be applying for unemployment at the earliest possible moment. That said I need more than unemployment pays and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for temporary work without long-term employment commitment. I have zero experience in hospitality or gaming.

The only thing I can come up with is Uber. When you account for the fact that I would be destroying my car I don't think there's any money to be made doing that. I'm looking for other suggestions.
