My wife and I decided to visit both of these Vegas clubs recently on the same weekend on a consecutive Friday and Saturday night to see the difference. First off, let me tell you a bit about us. We are not swingers. We are exhibitionists interested in being seen by others and of course seeing what others are up to. Now let me describe each club and what we found there.

On Friday night we visited the Red Rooster and arrived at about 10:30 PM. It is in a suburban neighborhood in east Vegas and has lots of parking. It was 40$ for us and the guy manning the door told us very little about the facility and what to expect. There is a bar but you have to bring your own alcohol. All mixers are included with your entry fee although they appreciate tips. As you walk in there is a large dance floor and a pool table. A staircase leads upstairs to the couples only area. On the other side of the dance floor is an area with many tables set up and many couples sat here and talked for a while visiting with new people. This seemed to truly be a swingers place. There is also another pool table here and just past this area is an indoor pool and hot tub. On the first floor there is also a large room with a few couches and many beds. There are also four or five private rooms where couples can go in if they wish. Despite some of the other reviews on here the mix of people at the Rooster was amazing. All shapes, sizes, and ages were represented. There were a lot of couples and when we were there probably about 15 single men wandering around looking for entertainment. Not much went on when we first arrived there as most people seemed to be "interviewing" other couples and we got the impression it really was a swingers place. People did dance and use the pool tables. The downside for us was there is no security there at all. While my wife and I were playing together some single guys came by to watch. Not a problem. However, when they got within a couple of feet and were told my wife was shy and one guy tried to show himself to her and then attempted to grope her breast, and she had to get out of there. We will not be back.

On Saturday we went to the Green Door. We had been here once before just for a look around on a Thursday night. Huge difference between Thursday and Saturday as it is much busier on the weekend. We got to the GD at about 11:20 and there were only 5 couples there. Entry here is more expensive with an out of state couple costing 81$ on a weekend. No alcohol in this club but there is a bar in the same shopping center. There are two floors at the Green door. The first floor has a photo op area and it is the only area where you can take a picture. Then as you walk back there is a place with two pool tables, a couple other games, a bar (drinks will cost you here), some sex chairs, bathrooms, an area with showers, a steam room and sauna, a voyeur area and couples area, and an orgy room. There is also a glory hole and two semi-private rooms where you can lock the doors but people can still look in a window. Upstairs there is a large area with couches set around a stripper pole and another bar. There is another couples only area but singles can look in through windows and openings covered by screens. Down a hall are several other large rooms with beds and couches. There is an area with showers and a dungeon room. When we first arrived there was not a lot going on other than couples and people walking around looking to see if anyone else was up to any action. It did not take too long for some couples to begin using some of the rooms for various activities and when something "big" started to happen it summoned a crowd to watch. Most people seemed to be there to people watch. Very different from the Red Rooster. But there was plenty to see at the Green Door and we were only there for about two hours. At the GD the couples areas were completely enforced and respected. We were not accosted at all and we could play but still allow singles to watch from behind a screened or windowed area. Actually, we were in one area for a while with many other couples who were mostly doing similar things. Some more than others. The downstairs couples area also has some semiprivate areas which are small rooms with beaded curtains where couples can enjoy each other and other couples can watch.

Ok, I avoided saying this earlier but we did see a GB and an orgy at the GD along with other things between couples. At the RR we saw one other couple playing but I imagine there were a lot of couples playing after we left. So our impression was this, if you are really looking to swing the RR is probably a good choice for you. It is more of a social club with that kind of social vibe and option. It is still an option at GD but the atmosphere is different. If you are more of an exhibitionist or voyeur then the GD is more likely your place. It is just set up that way and people really seem to respect those rules and the place has workers there to enforce the couples only rule.
