Uncommon scams in Vegas?
Post Body

And no “all of Vegas is a scam” comments please.

I’m curious to see what these lesser known scams are. The reason is my mom was in Vegas recently and told me how a man asked if she could pull money out of the atm for him as he had exceeded his withdraw limit for the day. He said he would send my mom money via Venmo or zelle and she would pull it out of the atm for him. She lied and said she doesn’t use any of those apps but she admits it sounded weird. Any idea what was going on there if it’s a scam?

One scam I was almost a victim was is the “date and ditch” scam where a woman offers to take you out to dinner and then orders a lot of food only to leave you just before the bill comes (usually by saying there going to the bathroom) and ordering one more drink.

What are some other scams you are aware of and your stories? Thanks!
