Thinking about eating meat while "traveling" to experience the local culture
Post Body

Me and my family are going on vacation to a foreign country world-renown for its cuisine, and I'm strongly considering breaking veg so I can fully experience the local food while I'm there. :) Plus, it would just make things so much easier if I didn't have to worry about finding veggie options in such a backwater, third-world country. I doubt I'd be able to find anything to eat at all.

Our first stop on our trip is Tampa, Florida, and I'd like to try something the locals call "Steak n' Shake" while I'm there, I've heard it is excellent. Do you think they'll offer veggie options, or will I have to settle for a steak, instead?

Later on I plan on visiting McDonalds and Golden Corral Buffet to experience some more authentic American food.

This is all temporary, of course! I fully plan on returning to my normal diet as soon as we're back overseas. :) And of course I'll only be eating free-range meats. That shouldn't be a problem at these fine establishments, right? I think I've heard America is well known for its animal farming practices, anyway. That's probably all they serve.
