Mines is that calling food items after their meat counterparts like “Chik’n” comes off as cringe. I wish we could find other names for meat imitations / counterparts but it’s probably not as straightforward as it seems.
Edit: Although I still think the names are funny, I understand from a selling perspective why mock meats are named what they are.
A few interesting takes that stand out to me so far in this thread:
• Owning pets is unethical if you’re a vegan for animal rights
• Eating meat should be illegal
• Veganism is NOT a diet
