Last year around early March (a few weeks before the pandemic really hit) I visited a friend that I hadn’t talked to for almost two years because of a fight. It was awkward but since she had her own apartment I noticed she was cooking. She made this chickpea with rice and pasta thing which was really fucking good and when the pandemic actually hit I decided to bulk up on some chickpea and started making this light but filling dish that is technically vegan.
I also use chickpeas for soups, currys and stews.
They’re a really good source of protein and don’t give me bad gas like others beans. An entire can of chickpeas with olive oil, tomato and spices is about 600 calories and I’m excited for when I cut after my bulk to eat them all the time!
Any chickpea dishes you guys like?
