is it normal to be hungry more often after switching to veganism?

basically i swapped to veganism about a week and a half ago, dropping all animal products cold turkey. i’ve noticed that i’m getting hungry a lot more often than i used to (about 2-3 hours after a meal rather than my previous usual 6 hours as a meat eater). however, though i don’t track calories, i guesstimate that i eat roughly 500-600 calories per meal, with snacks in between to satiate hunger until my next meal. has anyone else experienced this? should i be worried/am i doing something wrong?
