Looking for a bit of advice. I’ve recently made the switch from full on meat eater to (nearly, just one last obstacle) vegan, primarily for ethical and environmental reasons. Just can’t justify the wastefulness of a meat diet, plus hated supporting the awful mass produced meat industry.
The one thing I haven’t been able to kick is cheese. Just cheese. I’ve happily kicked the meat and all other dairy and animal products with barely a glance back - there’s plenty out there that does just as well or frankly better, but nothing has scratched the itch for a solid strong English cheddar or blue cheese. Violife type stuff tastes like plastic to me. Are there any vegan cheese substitute brands you’d recommend that have the strength and sharpness of dairy cheese, or anything that fellow omni-to-vegan convert guys have used as a substitute in your diets that’s done the job for you? I’m in the UK for context.
I expect this is a very common question and apologise if it’s tiring for you. Cheers for any help.
