Howdy folks! I recently decided to take the dive into a much healthier lifestyle and chose a vegan diet to pair with it. Up until starting, I was working on weight loss with a personal trainer. Said trainer wanted me eating at a calorie deficit with a set protein goal daily (1500cals/day, 150g protein)
This was a pretty easy goal with my old diet. Eat like normal, add in some muscle milk, live my life.
However, I'm really struggling to make that balance work out with a vegan diet, and I was wondering if there was a conversion I'm missing because the diet has been changed. Currently I'm trying to supplement my diet with the Orgain protein powder from Whole Foods, but I'm still like 50-60g of protein short from my goals each day while being way over my 1500cal limit.
Any help/sources to read would be greatly appreciated!
