It is time for the governments across the world to call it as it is - the animal agriculture and fishing industries destroy nature at a scale no other human activity is even capable of. They are inflicting intolerable, yet unnecessary, suffering on billions of innocent animals, they cause ecocide, deforestation, desertification, biodiversity annihilation, soil erosion, extinction of species, reckless land grabs, depletion of oceans - all of these make agricultural and fishing practices incompatible with any aspirations to make human existence on this planet either sustainable or ethically just.

This is why Animal Rebellion was created.

We are a mass volunteer movement, employing Non-Violent Direct Action methods (e.g. Civil Disobedience), demanding that the governments abolish the destructive animal farming and fishing industries, and lead a transition to 100% plant-based food production systems. We recognise that a vegan, plant-based food system is the only food system that can minimise the risk of climate breakdown, halt mass extinction and avert social collapse. 

The Rebellion begins on 07 October in London, UK (and other places across the world), where in solidarity with Extinction Rebellion, Animal Rebellion will mobilise thousands of animal advocates for a two-week rebellion. Together, we will deliver the result and bring about this massive change on a global scale!
