So I have a death row penpal that I've been talking with for about 8 months. He told me recently that he'd decided to request the vegan meal options after I had talked a little about veganism. I'm so pleased, he's my first convert!

He said he's already feeling the health benefits too compared the mystery meat meals he used to get. It actually seems to be pretty whole foods plant based meals he gets, which is great. Lots of potatoes veggies and rice, porridge and peanut butter for breakfast, raw veggies for snacks.

I know he can't exactly be a vegan activist in his situation, but one less person consuming animal products is definitely a win :)
