Why are people vegetarian but not vegan?

Post Body

I ask my teacher (who’s vegetarian) why she isn’t vegan and she said ‘well I like my cheese and cream’. Is it really that simple? Because if someone vegetarian for the sake of animals then that’s so hypocritical. I think that the dairy industry is actually worse for animals than the meat industry. I understand that there’s a strong overlap but using a cow for milk for all of its life then slaughtering them at 4 is worse than raising a cow in good health until old age then sending the cow to slaughter. Surely? Am I right? It just kinda makes me mad that some people are woke but sort of not ‘woke enough’

Are people misinformed about the dairy and egg industry? Are there other reasons?
