...Or does anyone else find it so endearing when someone goes through the extra effort to make sure you have something to eat?
Doesn't matter if it's something big and impressive, whether they have any idea what they're doing, or whether it even turns out good. Maybe I'm just a huge softie but it just makes me really emotional. That's like, the quickest way to my heart right there.
Just little things like my aunt being like "Look!! I used applesauce instead of eggs in these cookies, so you can have them!!"
Or my dad, who literally never cooks anything, following the instructions on the back of the shake n bake box to make me some shake n bake tofu. It was the blandest thing I've ever tasted, but he was so damn proud of himself and I found it so sweet.
Or the first time I met my BFF; she'd never met a vegetarian, let alone a vegan, but she took me on a tour of literally everything edible she had on hand until she had enough to put together a normal-ish meal for me. She kept saying that she felt so bad that she didn't have something better, but meanwhile I was just sitting there like '...Okay, yeah, we're gonna be best friends.'
Venting-about-omni-family/friends threads can be fun, but it's nice to share positive stories too. Anyone else feel like this, or am I just a huge pushover lmao
