Stopped at an Italian restaurant I'd never seen before on the way home today- wasn't expecting too much, but I was really pleasantly surprised how many vegan options there were!
But the thing that was really the cherry on the cake: they gave us a basket with bread and little packets of butter, which I left to the rest of the party for most of the meal- dry bread, blegh. Until someone pointed out to me that mixed in with the butter, were little tiny packets of earth balance!
I dunno, it's such a tiny little thing but I wasn't expecting it at all (especially considering what an authentic place it ended up being) and it made me happy to be able to mow down on bread and butter with all my co-diners. Just wanted to share. :P
