Hiya,
I bought a pair of black airseal boots from Vegetarian Shoes a couple years ago and they're one of my favourite clothing items.
I've been considering buying a burgundy pair, but I'm concerned that they won't age as gracefully as the black. I don't want to buy a pair of boots that will look totally worn out and unwearable in two years time. With the black boots I know that if they start looking really worn, I can just polish them - but with the colourful ones that isn't really an option. Clear polish won't hide scuffs.
So in the interest of buying products that last, I'm wondering if anyone could share their experience. If you've owned a pair of non-black faux leather shoes/boots for several years, are they still in good condition? Would you say scuffs are more noticeable on coloured faux-leather than they would be on black? Does treating the shoes regularly with dubbin (or even vegetable oil??) prevent them from scuffing in the first place?
Appreciate any advice you can give me!
