How do you all handle receiving gifts that do not align with the vegan diet? I don't want to tell people "Oh, I can't have this, but thanks anyway." Does that sound ungrateful? They know I'm vegan, and have for 4 years. But every year I encounter the same dilemma. Do I just continue to say thank you and let my partner to enjoy without telling the gifter? ๐๐งก
Thank you for listening to me whine about people giving me Presents. ๐๐
Edit: The gift was sent to me from another state. It was not given in person. If it were in person, letting them know would be much easier for me. I have intense anxiety and worry about coming across rude. I am asking how to go about letting them know after the fact and educating them on what veganism entails.
