Receiving Holiday gifts as a vegan
Post Body

How do you all handle receiving gifts that do not align with the vegan diet? I don't want to tell people "Oh, I can't have this, but thanks anyway." Does that sound ungrateful? They know I'm vegan, and have for 4 years. But every year I encounter the same dilemma. Do I just continue to say thank you and let my partner to enjoy without telling the gifter? ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿงก

Thank you for listening to me whine about people giving me Presents. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜

Edit: The gift was sent to me from another state. It was not given in person. If it were in person, letting them know would be much easier for me. I have intense anxiety and worry about coming across rude. I am asking how to go about letting them know after the fact and educating them on what veganism entails.
