I found an injured pigeon the other day, it fell from the sky and hit the ground in front of me when I was on my bike (probably hit a window of a neighbouring apartment building). It looked like it couldn't fly so I guided it off the road and picked it up. It nestled into my arms and then later I took it to a wildlife rescue centre. I've told some people this story because it was really so cute how it looked up at me and when I was transferring to a box it wanted to just perch on my hand... And a couple have people have said "most people would've just left it to die" or "they're just sky rats... they probably put it down at the wildlife rescue anyway" and it really saddens me. I just wish more people were more compassionate for all living creatures.
