As you may have heard by now, Daiya recently scammed thousands (or more) of customers out of giving very sensitive personal information including their home address and contact information. They have not been clear about and refuse to address what they plant to do with this personal information but my guess is that they are going to sell it.
In exchange for personal information they promised vouchers for free pizza as an incentive. The vast majority of people did not receive their vouchers and Daiya will no address this situation. Daiya got the personal information and marketing they wanted, but they got it by blatantly scamming people. I believe Daiya is based in Canada and this was intentionally marketed to U.S. consumers so it is likely that they will avoid legal liability for this.
I urge you to join me in boycotting Daiya for the time being.
