My niece is 5 years old and has recently started telling me she "doesn't eat animals" and how she loves animals and doesn't want to eat any animals. She still eats meat still because her parents have told her that "chicken the animal is different than the food". Over the years I have told her that I don't eat animals plenty of times when she has questioned me why I'm not eating the same food as everyone else at meal times. Obviously I don't want to start a whole fight with my brother. But how can I promote her ideas to her and let her know she is right and I support her even if she may not realistically be able to become vegan until she is much older due to her parents beliefs.
