I’m going to be collecting data for my masters thesis and need to write a macro that will replace each subjects name with a unique identifier. Basically “de-identifying” the data.

I’d like to write code that if for example the name “Jane doe” is anywhere in the workbook, it is replaced with a specified value that I can choose, like “subject 1”.

Rather new to VBA but figured this is a good project to do plus it helps get me through IRB.

Any guidance is suuuuper appreciated!
