I hated cleaning my glass pieces and put it off until they got gnarly. I used to be all about soaking glass in iso overnight. But that takes awhile, leaves dirty containers, uses iso which you have to buy and dispose of. I figured out a new setup thats working great. ~$15 electric kettle with digital display/multi temp/keep warm. Cleaning went from a 2 day chore, to just a couple minutes (not counting the time to heat the water).
Put down a paper towel in the sink, will catch resin and stuff.
Rinse stuff with hot water, doesn't need to be max temp. A couple rinses until the glass starts to heat up. Then use just a little bit of iso to rinse, the hot glass will warm it up and it will work great with barely using any. Give it a few minutes to let the glass cool down a bit, then rinse clean with room temp water.
Notes/warnings - be mindful of thermal shock on your glass, this works best on thicker glass. Find a temp that works for your piece. Hot ISO will vaporize and put off fumes that are VERY flammable. Shouldn't be an issue, but obviously no open flames. Be careful about pouring very hot water down your sink - let the leftover hot water cool down before pouring a bunch out.
