Amateur Cyclist - Scared of Vancouver Drivers, Getting Mobi for the First Time
Post Body

Hi everyone,

I'm someone that has always wanted to get into biking, but I've had too many years of driving and seeing how terrible our drivers can be on the road, and that has really stopped me from doing anything to purchase a bike or getting started.

However, I recently got approved for the Leisure Access Pass program for low-income residents in the city, and it costs $20 for the Mobi bikeshare program so I'm willing to try it out.

I live in East Van, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on bike routes I could take as a beginner where it is mostly protected bike lane only? I want to ease my way into eventually riding onto roads comfortably. For example, Central Valley Greenway (and the closest one would be the Mobi station at Victoria & 10th)

Thank you so much in advance!
