Why does The Province always have Canucks stories front and center on their page?

Even in times when there is a major story happening, such as an election, murder or disaster, they choose to run Canucks stories as the main central headline. Is the target audience really that into sports?

Are you looking at the front of the paper or the back of it? The back is the sports section so it's almost always going to have something Canucks related. I don't get the Province anymore but it wasn't common for the Canucks to be on the actual front page.
