First time back in Vallejo in a long time-- what's changed?

I grew up in Vallejo, but left for college in 2007 and haven't been back regularly since the early 2010s. What's changed since then? Where are the cool spots to hang out now and what areas to avoid?

I'm a 35/M and will be visiting my aging parents who are still in Vallejo and don't want to bum around my childhood bedroom the entire time I'm there. I'd love to go and take my parents out somewhere nice but have no clue where to take them. Any tips? What about cool places to go solo as a lot of my friends have moved out as well?
