For non-PIV sex with a new partner, is it still worth getting an STD test?

So I have vaginismus and have accepted it. I have no desire to get treatment or cure it so PIV sex is off the table.
For non-PIV sex (grinding, oral sex, etc), is it still worth getting tested for STDs when getting a new partner? And why?
Edit: Thanks everyone. I have had a few people in the dating pool say they don’t need to be tested, which I completely disagree with but just needed some concrete reasoning behind it
