To my busking friends, how heavy is your set up, and to everybody, how much would you be willing to carry for one?
Post Body

I'm home for a while before working and then hitting the road, and I want to busk my way around as much as I can. I mainly expect to be hiking (3-5 days at a time on some trails I want to see), hitching, and hopefully some train hopping if I can find somebody to show me the ropes.

Thing is, my instrument is 7 pounds added to my pack and I'm wary of that being too much in the long term. I'm used to thruhiking with a 25lb pack, and I know I'll be at or above that already without an instrument. Not much I can do about it—there's no place to cut down the weight—so I'd appreciate bouncing it off of y'all's opinion and thoughts.
