Is anyone else's academic counselor rude to them?

Post Body

I am going in to second year and every interaction I've had with my academic counselor has been horrible. At this point it feels like she is actively being mean to me. I was asking about course expectations and she said "it sounds like you're looking for reassurance and you're not going to get it from me". Is this normal? I'm 31 and I've had very few interactions like this from someone I am paying to do a job.

Is there any way to change counselors? Who should I talk to about this?
