Post Body

Hey everyone.

I'm a first-year Computer Science student at Concordia University in Montreal. My current GPA is 3.0/4.0, but I'm working hard to improve it to around 3.8-3.9 by the end of the year. I'm really eager to secure a prestigious internship, ideally with a well-known tech company. My main goal is to use this experience to significantly boost my chances of getting accepted for a transfer to the University of Waterloo. Transferring to Waterloo is very important for me. I'm also contemplating switching my major to either Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering (havenโ€™t decided yet). Given my current situation and goals, what would you advise me to focus on? I'm particularly interested in hearing about strategies to land competitive internships, improve my transfer prospects, and understand the pros and cons of potentially switching majors. For further context I am in my mid 20โ€™s with a degree in business. Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
