Data electives for non-data/cs major

Post Body

Hey guys. I'm a 1st year maths and philosophy major wanting to plan my degree to do data science for my elective spaces. I'm considering going into data after completing my degree and want to improve my programming skills. How strict are the first year data unit prerequisites for second and third year data units if I'm taking them as electives? I am willing to do self study on data prior to taking the elective units.

In my first semester I enrolled in INFO1110 but I ended up dropping it right before the census date as I did not enjoy the content and switched to a maths major. I've recently become interested in data and was wondering which data electives would be recommended for non-data and cs majors. I had previously been more interested in programming and have experimented with my own game development projects in Godot, and now I'm wanting to get back into it but wanting to go into the data component more.

Any help would be appreciated!
