I just wanted to get an idea based on whether or not anyone else has had this issue with their orders in the last two weeks. I finished all my online Christmas shopping the last week of November. Because I am in Hudson County the regional hub here is in Kearny. All of my USPS shipped orders coming out of that facility between order dates November 26th-30th have an “indefinite” status via the USPS tracking tool across 5 separate orders through 4 different (not 3. Sorry can’t edit the title) vendors/platforms Amazon, Walmart, The Pokemon Company, and Ebay (individual sellers). The indefinite status is due to an “unforseen delay” at the Kearny Midway Ave facility. Amazon, Walmart, and Ebay are displaying messages through their own platform’s tracker on those orders suggesting that I ask for a refund or continue to wait. So my question for fellow Hudson County residents with any orders coming through USPS this week did this happen to anyone else? I’m wondering if it is implied that the packages are lost or something happened to the vehicle they were loaded on. So I am simply trying gauge whether I should just re-buy these items are not. Obviously time is of the essence so that’s why it has come to me asking anonymous people on the internet if this is happening to them as well. Just need to know soon (and obviously USPS will not give me a better answer) so I can figure out whether I am getting alternative gifts for these family members or if I should attempt re-orders on them. Update: I never received them and I have been offered a refund for all of them. Amazon refunds came. And the others I paid through paypal so are pending. Not sure what is happening in Kearny but it looks like they lost many of our packages recently and simply just haven’t been able to do anything about it. What, did a truck catch fire or something? 😂 how does that happen with all different packages from 4 different shippers all USPS getting sorted at the same regional hub
