This is now directly causing repercussions for my eBay business. I cannot in good faith trust USPS packages at this time. I'm too small to tackle the bad reviews soon to come.
I'm a top-rated seller who's worked hard to gain the reviews I have. I'm moving all my labels to Pirate Ship and UPS.
I have about 10 packages in Limbo with no foreseeable solution other than refunding the customers. Else the one star reviews are sure to come. Only a few customers understand the USPS situation. Most will blame (me) the seller for their missing packages.
Thus, I'll have to issue refunds this week and ship replacements through a different carrier.
Until this blows over, I highly recommend Pirate Ship for UPS integration with eBay, if anyone needs an alternative.
