Does anyone follow WCAG's typography guidelines to the letter?
Post Body

I've started working on bringing our type up to WCAG guidelines, and have been doing a lot of research. The guidelines are

  • Line height (line spacing) to at least 1.5 times the font size;
  • Spacing following paragraphs to at least 2 times the font size;
  • Letter spacing (tracking) to at least 0.12 times the font size;
  • Word spacing to at least 0.16 times the font size.

These are the guidelines to use no matter the font size. I can't find a company that actually follows these to the letter though. Apple's HIG, Material Design, even the US Government all recommend going into negative tracking at larger font sizes and spacing isn't even close to 1.5x/2x.

Am I missing something? Are the variables different in Sketch?
