Question regarding going from Reserves to Active
Post Body

3rd class here considering going active duty: I know that I need to go back to a recruiting office to start the process, but I still have a couple of questions regarding the switch. Namely:

1.) Would my current enlistment contract be restructured in some way? Obviously, the word "reserves" would be replaced with active, but would the number of years of the contract change, or would it stay the same? Are there other changes in the fine print?

2.) Would I be given a typical dream sheet to assist in determining a new duty station, or would I just be assigned something?

Any additional advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
